NEED HELP DECIDING IF PARAMEDICAL TATTOOING IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Paramedical tattooing is a specialized form of tattooing and not everyone will be a candidate for it. However, it’s a wonderful technique if other outlets have been tried and been unsuccessful.

UNIQUE METHODS FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL

Every scar and stretch mark tells a story, and no 2 are unique. Paige uses a variety of pigments to mix and match to create a custom color that matches your skin tone. The scar and stretch mark and then tattooed with the matching color to blend them in to the surrounding skin.

Breast cancer takes a toll on the body, oftentimes leaving those who’ve suffered just wanting to feel like themselves again. That’s where Paige gets to come in. If you lost your areola and nipples to breast cancer, Paige will tattoo a 3D looking realistic areola tattoo that looks so real, someone would have to rub their finger over it to know it wasn’t real. A signature mapping technique is used to find that best shape for your areola based on your features and desires. Don’t worry though, nothing is ever tattooed on your body without your approval. You have say-so in how your areola and nipples are ultimately shaped.

Scalp micropigmentation is great for adding density to thinning hair or bald heads by tattooing dots that mimic hair follicles. Unless someone were rubbing on your head, they wouldn’t know that they weren’t hair follicles.

BUT PAIGE, WHY DO I NEED PARAMEDICAL TATTOOING?

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR PARAMEDICAL TATTOO APPOINTMENT

It will all depend what service you’re getting: scar and stretch mark camouflage, areola and nipple tattooing, or scalp micropigmentation as to how your appointment will flow.

Scar and stretch mark camouflage: There is a 50/50 chance that your scar is either numb or really sensitive. Either way, numbing is usually involved to ease any potential pain. Paige will custom mix the pigment to color match your skin, and usually uses 3-4 shades to blend it in like normal skin. The tattooing begins, and usually this process is fairly quick. The area will most likely be puffy and red when you leave and you won’t see the color develop for 4-6 weeks.

Areola and nipple tattooing: Most likely, the area in which you’re getting tattooed is numb. However, to ease any potential pain, you can be numbed. Paige will then measure and size your areola and nipples based on breast size and/or your preference. If you had a unilateral mastectomy, she will match the existing nipple and areola as closely as possible. Once you approve the shape, she will tattoo your new areola and nipples!

Scalp micropigmentation: Most people get scalp micropigmentation for thinning hair and balding. Believe it or not, the head really isn’t that sensitive, so numbing usually isn’t necessary. If you’re getting full scalp micropigmentation, Paige will map out your hairline to your desired look. Once you approve the shape, she chooses a pigment to match your hair color and begins to create the tattooed hair-follicle looking tattoo on your scalp. If you are thinning and have hair to go by, she will match the density and tattoo accordingly.
